LEAD TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

The successful candidate will play a lead role in the conceptualisation, design and implementation of multi-tied products and applications based on business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, enhance and innovate existing and new suite of products and applications.
• Ensure scalability, extensibility, interoperability and consistency based on established architecture framework and best practices.
• Review, define, communicate and enforce efficient and effective documentation standards from conceptualisation to final delivery.
• Develop quick prototype and test critical areas of design, when necessary, to check understanding and feasibility of concept / design.
• Provide hands-on advice and coaching to members of project teams.
• Involve in trouble-shooting, optimising and fine-tuning of the products/applications.
• Assist Business Development team in pre-sales activities (proposal responses, presentation to customers etc).
• Participate in latest technology research applicable to meet new business challenges.

You should posses the following qualities:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent discipline.
• At least 5 years of software development experience (with at least 2 years in a lead role capacity) in internet or client server technology on Windows, UNIX or Linux platform.
• Strong leadership with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to implement and enforce procedures and processes.
• Strong organisation and problem solving skills.
• Visionary, innovative and creative with demonstrated ability to convert business challenges into technical solutions.
• Great drive and passion to keep up-to-date awareness of latest IT industry trends, best practices and technologies.
• Must have in-depth and extensive knowledge and experience in various J2EE technologies, framework, development tools and RDBMS.
• Preferably has hands-on experience in Weblogic and Oracle.
• Willingness to travel.
